We are a congregation that emphasizes the grace and radical hospitality of God! We strive to welcome all who desire to be truly and abundantly alive, and who want to discover—in community—what that means in their everyday lives. We value compassion, openness, respect, and inter-generational worship experiences that inspire us, challenge us, encourage us, and motivate us.
We’re not really into pat answers. Actually, we prefer those difficult questions that, perhaps, “Christians aren’t supposed to ask”—or so “they” say! We value sincere, sometimes-deep conversations and listening to each others’ stories. Not that we’re always up to that—but we try!
Our mission is rooted in our calling from God to give witness to the Good News of the grace of Jesus Christ through faith formation and mentoring, worship and prayer, and acts of compassion and caring (Matthew 28:16-20). We are people who commit to doing justice, loving kindness and mercy, and walking humbly with God (Micah 6:8), and who commit to loving God with our whole beings—heart, soul, mind, and strength—and sincerely loving our neighbors—all our neighbors—as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). We are a church with a long history and, yet, we are “young at heart”—with young families, elderly folk, and all of us in-between; a variety of opportunities for meaningful service; and a wide-range of events that are just plain fun.
Sunday Morning Worship begins at 10:15. Children are always welcomed and valued in worship. Children are invited to participate actively in our “Focus on the Younger Church” during the service, and in other ways too. Following worship, join us for “Coffee, Calories, and Conversation” in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome—no exceptions!
